The games of round 5 of Lake Sevan 2016 tournament were played yesterday. In the central game of the day one of the leaders of the tournament Samvel Ter-Sahakyan faced Sameuel Sevian, who was sharing the third place. In the so far longest game of the tournament, which lasted 103 moves, Sevian managed to win. The other leader of the tournament Duda Jan-Krzysztof was defeated by Arman Pashikian: the latter was at the bottom of the table before that game. This round was successful for Vladislav Artemiev. In a sharp game he outplayed Hovhannes Gabuzyan. The matches Robert Hovhannisyan-Vidit Santosh Gujrathi and Vladimir Onishcuk- David Anton Guijarro ended in a draw.

For the first time the tournament got its sole leader: Samuel Sevian is leading the table with 3,5 points.
